Float On, an Employee Owned Cooperative Float Tank Center, is looking for some talented individuals to join our team. 

What we are:

Float On is the world’s only employee-owned float tank center. Our goals are to pay our employees a living wage, serve our community, especially those most in need, and provide an amazing float experience.

We’re looking for folks who are both passionate about being a part of democratic employee-owned workplace, and passionate about helping people experience peace, tranquility, and relief through the wellness modality of sensory deprivation. 

We’re looking for people who are interested in taking on a multitude of roles and expanding their skills at both serving customers and helping our business thrive.

What the job entails:

The Basics

  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Lots and lots of cleaning 
    • Mainly cleaning float rooms between each session, spraying them down with disinfectants and wiping up any moisture, hair
    • Doing laundry on a continuous cycle 
  • Bending over, lifting heavy objects up to 50lbs
  • Customer Service
    • Booking appointments
    • Checking in floaters and giving them walk throughs
    • Answering and returning phone calls, emails, and text messages
    • Answering questions about floating and our float tank center
  • Safely Operating Float Tanks and following protocols for maintaining the conditions necessary for sensory deprivation through precise control of temperature, noise, light, and timing

  • Managerial and Human Resource Experience
  • Public Relations and Community Outreach
  • Property Maintenance – basic electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry
  • Experience with Cooperatives

 

Compensation

  • $20/hour base pay + tips
  • $25/hour rate for manager level tasks such as Advertising, Payroll, Hiring, 
  • Quarterly Patronage Payouts (Your share of the company profits after expenses) after 1 year of employment and officially becoming a member of the cooperative.
